UR StrongART strives to create an atmosphere of comfort, hope and excitement for children undergoing radiation therapy at the Wilmot Cancer Center. We are a student-run volunteer initiative that invites willing volunteers and artists from the University of Rochester, the Sage Art Center, and interested individuals from the Rochester local community to transform the simple radiotherapy masks into figures of heroes and popular children characters, on request. Our goal is to convey a message of strength, hope, and joy to the young patients.
